Dave - Dad changed jobs a few times post WWII Navy. We spent some years living in Glen Cove, L.I., NY, and I became a fan of lighthouses - Montauk, Evanston, Il, Chicago, several along Lake Mich shore on the MI coast. Your shots are great. I am particularly drawn to your portraits, esp. the B&W. Transitioning these days to Fuji X-Pro2 and lenses 'cause I like Fuji B&W and color rendering. Lots of old barns in my current region - Shawano, WI 45mi northwest of Green Bay. Traveled a lot in long career - New England, NYC, Florida Gulf, Austin, San Antonio, NOLA, Tucson, Albuquerque, CA coast (a lot). Again, happy birthday brother.
I talked to you on viewbug and you gave me your site. Thank you I could sit here all day and look at these many photos.
Hi, just read your mini-course on b@w street photography on Viewbug. As an artist, myself, I am fond of what I can achieve in b@w, although i am still wondering about the deep charcoal details some photographers can employ.
Thank you for your outreach, it was a pleasure to look at some of your portraits.
Huge fan of your work. Would love the honor of meeting you one day.
Love your site Dave, really nice work. Simply amazing.
Really good seeing Y'all at the reunion. I really look forward to that time every two years. The pictures you made were great. Lot of talent there. Looking forward to seeing you guys in a couple of years.
Good seeing you at our Navy Reunion in Norfolk. All of us appreciate the photos you took of us. See you in a couple years
Nice to meet you at the Reef event today (8-3). Love the monotone work.
Awesome site Dave, love your work. Very well done
Great pictures. I know we share the name Chinn but I don't really know if we are related. My father was Homer Chinn. My sister is Linda Schutz. I enjoyed viewing your pictures.
